City of Lakes Waldorf School provides a Waldorf education to children in preschool through grade eight in the heart of Minneapolis. We welcome more than 300 students to our two urban campuses. Our Whittier Campus is located near Fair Oaks Park and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts; the Loring Early Childhood Campus is located adjacent to the Walker Art Center and Loring Park. The Waldorf approach emphasizes the true holistic development of each child's full capacities in an environment that fosters practical skills and social learning, and artistic as well as intellectual development. We strive to create a joyful, equitable, and inclusive community where all students and families experience belonging.
Mission
City of Lakes Waldorf School educates children to think independently, work artistically, and exercise strength of will. Through an integrated curriculum of academics, arts, and practical studies, City of Lakes Waldorf School encourages children to meet the world with reverence, nobility, and authentic action.
